«NOVA ZINC» LLP

Draft standards for maximum permissible emissions (MPE) for «Nova Zinc» LLP.
Air protection is a priority in ensuring the environmental safety of industrial production. One of the key tools in this area is the development of standards for maximum permissible emissions (MPE) — a document establishing permissible volumes of pollutant emissions into the air, based on hygienic standards and environmental legislation requirements.
Development of MPE allows:
1.to assess the impact of the enterprise on the environment;
2.to determine the maximum permissible emission levels without risk to public health;
3.to ensure the fulfillment of environmental obligations and obtain a permit for emissions.
Zhasyl Meken LLP has successfully developed a draft of maximum permissible emissions standards for Nova Zinc LLP, which mines lead-zinc ores under Contract No. 198 dated July 27, 1998. Until 2020, the deposit was developed using an open-pit method, but since 2020, the company has switched to underground mining, which is confirmed by the conclusion of the state environmental assessment No. KZ52VCZ00555362 dated February 27, 2020.
The basis for developing the project was the expiration of the previously issued environmental permit, which necessitated the preparation of a new, up-to-date NDV project that takes into account changes in technology, emission sources and the composition of pollutants.
The project developed by Zhasyl Meken LLP includes:
1) identification of all stationary emission sources;
2) calculation of volumes and composition of pollutants;
3) modeling of dispersion of emissions in the atmospheric air;
4) justification of standards ensuring compliance with air quality requirements at the boundary of the sanitary protection zone.
This project not only confirms the environmental safety of the enterprise’s activities, but also serves as the basis for obtaining a new environmental permit for emissions.
Zhasyl Meken LLP contributes to the sustainable development of industry, demonstrating a modern approach to environmental regulation and responsible subsoil use.
