On July 15, 2025, public hearings were held in the city of Aktobe on the Report on Possible Environmental Impacts on the working project for the liquidation of the area of the Pionerskoe sand deposit located on the lands of the city of Aktobe.

The event was organized by Jasylmeken LLP in accordance with the requirements of Article 96 of the Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Public hearings are a form of open dialogue between the population, the nature user and government agencies, conducted before or during the state environmental assessment. Their goal is to ensure transparency, take into account the opinion of the public and prevent possible negative consequences of the project for the environment.

During the hearings, the key parameters of the project were presented. The 20-hectare site, located 7 km north of Aktobe, was previously used for sand mining. After the early termination of the contract, Koktas JSC plans to carry out reclamation work in 2025. The works will take 25 working days and include two stages: technical (3.01 ha) and biological (0.3 ha), aimed at restoring the natural condition and economic suitability of the land.

Special attention is paid to environmental issues: control of dust and pollutants emissions, compliance with requirements for the protection of wildlife, rational water use and dust suppression at the site.

Koktas JSC has confirmed its commitment to the principles of environmental responsibility and its willingness to take into account comments and suggestions from the public.

Jasylmeken LLP continues to work on the further stage of the project, including the development of design estimates and environmental assessment support.
