Varro Operating Group LLP is a Kazakhstan-based company operating in the oil and gas sector. The company is registered in the city of Aktau and is engaged in the exploration and production of hydrocarbons, including natural gas, oil, and gas condensate, within the Mangystau Region. Its core production assets are located at the Tolkyn field. Varro Operating Group is part of a group of oil and gas assets affiliated with the Fincraft / Beineu Petroleum holding and conducts its activities with due consideration for industrial and environmental safety requirements.

Given the scale and specific nature of its operations, the company was required to obtain an Environmental Impact Permit for a Category I facility, which involves the development and substantiation of a comprehensive set of environmental documentation in accordance with the Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Project Objectives:

The project scope included preparation of the environmental documentation required to obtain the permit, environmental impact assessment, development of Emission Limit Values (ELVs), a Waste Management Program (WMP), and a Production Environmental Monitoring Program (PEMP), as well as support throughout approval and state environmental expertise procedures.
